The Informationist is getting wings 🐥
tl;dr: I’m adding a paid subscription plan!
This newsletter was always meant to be a little side-gift, a way for me to help share financial knowledge with others in an environment that’s changing faster than ever. And now, after so much positive feedback and interest from all of you, I’ve decided to commit to writing The Informationist for as long as possible. 👊
Starting in two weeks, only paid subscribers will get this newsletter weekly. Also, paid subscriber questions will take priority, and they’ll get a few other cool benefits (see below). Free subscribers will now receive this newsletter only once a month.
Whether you are a doctor, an accountant, a sports trainer, or an aspiring investor, think of this newsletter as the finance education you were never given in school. It’s like having your own Wall Street translator, all for the cost of two coffees a month.
🙏 To thank you for being an early supporter, subscribe in the next 48 hours and get 33% off for the first year — just $100, or $10/month ✌️
When I launched this newsletter about a year ago, I was already engaging on Twitter, answering questions from followers and explaining financial concepts. From there, I began writing threads for further explanation. But I wanted to deep-dive and simplify one important, yet complicated concept in longer form.
And The Informationist weekly newsletter was born.
Since then, the feedback you’ve shared with me and others has been humbling and immensely gratifying. 🥲
As you may know, I recently launched another newsletter, called The Signal, and while successful right out of the gate, I have since decided to focus on The Informationist instead.
What’s changing?
Free readers will continue to get this same newsletter, but only once a month. If that’s enough for you, then absolutely continue with that.
Paid subscribers will receive the newsletter weekly.
Paid subscriber questions will have priority
Because this is my only newsletter now, your support will not only mean a ton to me, but it will allow me to keep writing The Informationist amidst launching a hedge fund
I’m also considering a few extras for paid subscribers, like access to a new private chat community, and quarterly Zoom calls. More on those to come.
Why should I subscribe?
To better understand the financial world around you.
Whether you are a doctor, an accountant, a sports trainer, or an aspiring investor, think of this newsletter as the finance education you were never given in school. It’s like having your own Wall Street translator for the sum of two coffees a month.
Some key recent posts:
What will it cost?
$150 per year, or $15/month.
My expectation is that you apply this knowledge. If this newsletter can help you make one better decision each year, it’ll pay for itself. And if it doesn’t, you can cancel anytime.
For those of you who simply can’t afford it, please email me so we can work something out. I don’t want the price to be yet another barrier between you and the financial knowledge you deserve and need.
👊 If you subscribe in the next 48 hours, get the first year for only $100, or $10/month (33% off) ✌️
When will this change happen?
The first subscriber-only post will begin in two weeks! January 29th.
That means one more free post next week, and then subscriber-only content begins. If you want to ensure that you don’t miss anything, subscribe now, and you’ll automatically get the subscriber-only content from the start.
If you’ve found this newsletter to be valuable, or just want to support the work I’m doing, consider subscribing. It would mean a ton to me. 🙏
Sincerely,
James ✌️
